Ang Pagbabalik ng mga Orihinal na Bagay sa Pakil

Ano nga ba ang ibig kong sabihin an ibalik ang mga orihinal na bagay sa Pakil? Kung itatanong ninyo sa mga matatandang taga-Pakil marami silang maikukwento sa inyo. Katulad na lang ng "PINAIS". ito ay giniling na hipon at ginawang parang bibingka. E kung pangangalagaan natin ang resiping ito, maaaring magamit ito ng mga taga-pakil bilang isang imahe ng bayan. Ang inig kong sabihin ay maraming turista sa Pilipinas na ang hanap ay pagkain. Katulad sa Antipolo ay "suman" gayon din sa "Bohol".

Kung tutuusin ang iba ay pumupunta at dumarayo sa Los Banos para sa Buko Pie. halimbawang sabihin nating malayo. Alam nyo ba na kung nasa Bagiuo kayo, ang iba ay pumupunta pa sa Benguet para bumili ng strawberry. E kung ang turista ay nasa Pagsanjan e di ilang minuto lang nasa Pakil na para dayuhin ang mga orhinal na pagkain dito.

ANO PA BA ANG MGA ORHINAL NA PAGKAIN NG PAKIL?

Pilipit - malagkit na bigas na korteng pilipit and ipinirito sa mantika.
Pinais - giniling na hipon na ibinake
Espasol - iba ang espasol sa Pakil dahil sa tinatawag na "gumaan" o niyog na bata.
Pritong Hipon - actually ito ay bigas na may hipon at parang sityaron.
Guava Jelly - noong araw ang bayabas sa pakil ay may sobrang pula ang loob at napakatamis.
Lanzones (batunisan) - maliit na lanzones.
Tinuto - ginataang laing na binalot ng tali.
Daing na Tilapia - maaring pangkaraniwan na ang Tilapia pero ang daing na tilapia dati sa Pakil ay marami nito.
Ayungin - isdang mas mahal pa sa alimango.
Tsaang Gubat -  noon marami ang tsaang gubat sa Pakil at sa ngayon ginagawa itong herbal medicine kaya nga may ice tea na.
Mabolo - maaring wala ng mabolo sa Pakil pero isa ito sa dinarayo ng mga taga-Paete noon.
Dambo - isang uri ng makopa pero maasim.

The Visual Artists of Pakil, Laguna

Danilo Echavaria Dalena   (4 Jan 1942) made his mark in the early 1970s with his caustic political cartoons and illustrations for the  Free Press  and  Asia-Philippines Leader  as it raised the standards of editorial art in the country. He also did a series of highly realistic toilet and graffiti drawings in 1972. He has produced series of paintings depicting folk costums and lifestyles in the city. When he returned to his hometown in Pakil, Laguna he has found new artistic inspiration in folk costums and lifestyle depicting its festivities. In 1974 shortly alter the declaration of martial law caused the closing down of the Philippine Leader, Dalena found himself without work. He then began the Jai A/ai Series that portrayed not the game itself but the swirling mass of bettors who arrived hopeful but left as losers. Adonay, The Maestro from Pakil

The music of renowned 19th century Filipino composer Marcelo Adonay (1848-1928) will be brought to life by the Philippine Madrigal Singers led by Mark Carpio, with bass soloist, Greg de Leon, pianist Nita Abrogar-Quinto, violinist Chona Noble, the UP Cherubim and Seraphim, conducted by Elena R.
